Organizations:

Associated Students of San Diego State University (AS) is an independent student-directed corporation that provides a wide range of services and programs for SDSU students, faculty, staff, alumni - and the general public. From student leadership and child care services, to recreation programs and concerts... AS has something for everyone.

This student run organization is a proud affiliate of the nationally recognized Association of Information Technology Professionals. The purpose of AITP is to provide a vehicle for its members to further their knowledge of the IT field through informational sessions, workshops, seminars, and networking. Additionally AITP's student chapters provide its members with information relative to their academic institution. Students can use resources available to their student chapter to plan academic schedules, share resources, and to find employment assistance.

AITP is dedicated to helping students open doors to future careers. Membership is currently open to all majors and individuals who are interested in the information technology industry.

Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest Professional Co-ed Business Fraternity that was founded in 1904 at New York University. Alpha Kappa Psi is comprised of 190 chapters within the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom. We are currently the largest professional fraternity nationwide. We have famous lifelong members such as Richard M. Nixon, and JC Penny. San Diego State University's Chapter, Mu Sigma, was established on campus in May of 1986. We have been strong from the start and keep growing stronger.

Beta Alpha Psi (BAY) is a national honors scholastic and professional coed business fraternity. This honor society enhances the university educational experience by providing interaction with finance, information systems, and accounting professionals, conducting technical and personal development programs through campus, regional and national meetings, and promoting and encouraging community service. The purpose of this fraternity is to:

-Recognize outstanding academic achievement in the fields of accounting, finance and information systems.
-Promote the study and practice of professional fields related to these disciplines.
-Provide opportunities for self-development and association among members and practicing financial professionals.
-Encourage a sense of ethical, social and public responsibility.

Delta Sigma Pi is a co-ed professional business fraternity comprised of over 250,000 members worldwide. At the Iota Pi Chapter at San Diego State University our members work together to produce professional events, community service events, networking events and social events. Our chapter consists of business students from all different backgrounds and interests. The members of Delta Sigma Pi are hard working and ambitious leaders within the community and on campus. Delta Sigma Pi members belong to organizations such as the Associated Business Student Council, Rotaract, American Marketing Association, Beta Alpha Psi, Student Accounting Society, Finance & Investment Society, SDSU Ambassadors, Associated Students, Mortar Board, Golden Key and several others.

The Enviro-Business Society (aka "e3") is a student organization that promotes modern business practices that combine ecology, ethics and economics; while providing a forum for student networking opportunities, and active grassroots community involvement. e3 equips people with the necessary tools to be active, aware and successful individuals through community outreach, independent projects, and social gatherings.

The Finance & Investment Society is a professional student organization, which provides an opportunity for all majors to develop their professional competency. Our organization incorporates four main areas of emphasis including professional development, social interaction, campus involvement, and a strong presence in the community. These areas are included into our program to strengthen business skills, as well as for personal enrichment.

The Hispanic Business Student Association (HBSA) at San Diego State University (SDSU) is a student organization whose mission is to promote the awareness of and address educational and business issues related to the general SDSU community. HBSA, founded and incorporated in 1999 by students in the College of Business, is managed by the Officer Council and supported by its members, alumni, and the professional business community. The organization was formed to:

-Increase enrollment of Hispanics in higher educational programs.
-Assist organizations in recruiting, developing, and promoting Hispanic professionals.
-Provide networking and career opportunities.
-Promote Hispanic business leadership and entrepreneurship.
-To voice the concerns of Hispanic students and alumni interested in a career as professionals in the business world.

The International Business Society at SDSU is your forum to interact and communicate with your colleagues of international business. The main focus of IB Society is to act as a central resource for SDSU students to integrate into the international business community with the goal of enhancing their educational, social and financial well-being. Solely designed to meet the needs of the students, IB Society will provide its members with access to: keynote speakers from around the globe, file sharing privileges, alumni contact information and study/internship abroad information sessions, just to name a few. Our existence may be relatively new, but our dedication to you the student is endless. We appreciate your support as we begin our journey to success all while developing and expanding our reach and utility.

The Student Accounting Society is an on campus organization that is exclusively for graduate and undergraduate students pursuing degrees in accountancy. SAS acts a means for students to interact with each other, as well as with members of the professional accounting community. SAS coordinates and sponsors many social, fundraising, community service, and professional events for students to take part in. It is this rich combination of fun activities and opportunities that has made SAS the largest business student organization on campus. SAS is proud to currently have over 100 members that are involved on a regular basis.
